About

Zenolyth formed as a 6-piece band in late 2004, following a trip to that year's Bloodstock metal festival. All its members were then studying at All Saints 6th Form in Sheffield.

Throughout 2005 we practised and wrote a few tunes, eventually playing our first gig in May. From then, we went on to play a number of successful gigs, and in July that year we headlined the Boardwalk for a charity gig, which was very well received.

One day in August, we recorded a demo of 4 tunes at Yellowarch studios, which we released as the 'Apocalyth EP' (available for free download). We finished 2005 by playing two more headline gigs at the Boardwalk. Our final gig was in January 2006, before an amicable split due to university and other commitments from band members, with our members persuing new projects.

Now, Zenolyth is back and involved in a recording project with a slightly new line-up, which will result in the release of our first professional recordings. Once that is complete, the future of Zenolyth is uncertain, but it is likely that we will continue to write and record songs and maybe even play the occasional show.
